🍎 It’s a weekend of firsts as we have a completely brand new producer of farmhouse beers and natural ciders in store. Based on the edge of the stunning Welsh Brecon Beacons National Park Sobremesa Drinks have taken a journey from Wales to Spain and back again, starting in 2021.
We’re serving for the first time in bag in box from our fridges, so nice and chilled, their 2022 vintage keeved cider blend of Dabinett and Harry Masters Jersey varieties. It’s a still, 100% apple juice driven cider with wild ferment, the keeving makes for a smooth medium appley finish with some natural residual sugars, 6.1%. Unfiltered, unfined and unpasteurised.
There’s no equivalent word in English, Sobremesa is a uniquely Spanish word, but it’s a simple concept we can fully get behind. It’s that time you spend at the table after you’ve finished eating, when conversation is freely enjoyed and in this case so is the cider 😉
