About us

Exchange Place is a unique, 100-year-old Art Deco building, repurposed as a creative laboratory where contemporary artists can experiment and test bold new ideas.

Exchange Place is one of the sites of Yorkshire Artspace, a centre for art production and a registered charity, providing high quality, affordable studio space for around 170 artists and makers across two sites in Sheffield city centre – Persistence Works and Exchange Place Studios.

Facilities at Exchange Place include: 24/7 access; Loading bay; Public-facing project space; Passenger lift; Toilets and Communal wash rooms on each floor; Communal kitchen on Ground floor; Secure indoor bike storage; District Heating; Office open for deliveries and enquiries: Tue – Thu, 10am - 4pm; Suitable for lighter creative processes only; Studio sizes range from 120 sq ft to 700 sq ft.
