About us

Just across from the Millennium Gallery, you’ll find the Art Deco home of the city’s dazzling visual art collection.

You’ll see work by artists including Avinash Chandra, Gwen John, Tess Jaray, Isaac Julien, Grayson Perry, Keith Piper, Bridget Riley and Mark Wallinger and many more, alongside a vibrant programme of regularly changing exhibitions.

In 2021, the Graves Gallery began a five-year programme of redisplay generously supported by the Ampersand Foundation. Each year, 40% of the displays are rehung, allowing visitors to enjoy even more of the city’s collection
