About us

 

Persistence Works is a pioneering art studio complex and the first of its kind in the UK. With over 50 purpose-built studios, this centre for art production supports a wide range of artistic practices, from large-scale fabrication to ceramics and metalwork. 

 

Alongside well-equipped incubation spaces Silver Space and Clay Space, Persistence Works is also home to the Kiln Yard and and two public galleries for exhibitions and events.

 

Persistence Works is one of the sites of Yorkshire Artspace, a centre for art production and a registered charity, providing high quality, affordable studio space for around 170 artists and makers across two sites in Sheffield city centre – Persistence Works and Exchange Place Studios.

 

Facilities at Persistence Works include: 24/7 access; Loading bay; Double-height central atrium; Goods lift; Sink in every studio; Toilets and Communal kitchen on each floor; District Heating; Kiln Yard / Outdoor work area; Office open for deliveries and enquiries: Mon – Wed, 10am - 4pm; Suitable for almost all creative processes; Studio sizes range from 193sq.ft. to 753sq.ft.
