The Sheffield Lunar Chinese New Year Festival is in full swing, and what an incredible start to our Lunar New Year celebrations so far! 🧧🐴✨ On Monday, we were proud to officially begin the festival with the Light Switch On at Sheffield Children’s Hospital ❤️ Then on Wednesday, audiences were treated to an unforgettable evening at The Octagon Centre for our spectacular Lunar New Year show 🎭✨ Spot our founder, Jerry Cheung, performing a powerful presentation of “Wing Chun” along with Wanlin Dance Academy 🥋 And we’re not finished yet… 🎉 This weekend, the celebrations move into the heart of the city! 🎉 City Centre Lunar Chinese New Year Festival 📅 Saturday 21 & Sunday 22 February 2026 – from 12pm 📍 Peace Gardens Join us for a FREE weekend of world-class performances, vibrant cultural traditions and international talent. 🐲 Don’t miss a World Champion Acrobatic Lion Dance, The Lion Meets the Dragon, a spectacular Dragon Dance Parade, acrobatics from China, Wushu/Kungfu, Diabolo, juggling, magic costume change and more. 🌍 Plus an International Fashion & Cultural Costume Show and performances from local community groups including Wanlin Dance Academy, Sheffield Youth Choir and Rotherham Theatrical Student Academy.
