📢 Want your short film screened at Showroom?! We’re inviting filmmakers to submit short films for the BFI Young Programmers’ Festival 2026, taking place 18–22 February at Showroom Cinema, Sheffield. Full details of festival strands and submission info: https://bit.ly/3KIH89j Films must be 15 minutes or under, align with one of our 2026 thematic strands, and be suitable for a BBFC 15 certificate or under. All submissions will be reviewed by our Young Programmers. Selected films will be programmed as part of the festival and will receive a £50 screening fee. Submission deadline: 16 January 2026 Applicants will be notified by 12 February 2026. Our strands explore themes including AI Through Female Eyes, Common People, Fame is a Gun, Bloodlines and To Be Loved is to Be Celebrated.
